iPhone 3G faulty but working...if that makes any sense!!

I have the iphone 4s now and whilst tidying up my drawer the other day I came across this....It is a 3G 8GB, I can't remember what network I had it on before, now when I put my new sim in I cant get any signal.

it was fine before but been sat in the drawer for a while now. Its in great condition, a small mark on the back of the phone but nothing major. I bought this off ebay ages ago and was working fine for me, if you cant get it to work it must be of use for someone for spares and repairs? Or even use it as an ipod touch...It still works through itunes etc and you can use wifi and all other facilities but cant call or text.

Anyway, cant be bothered with it so someone will get a bargain, you are buying phone only.
